Hamilton has completed their offers for Automated Solid Phase and Supported Liquid Extraction in adding a automated positive pressure device into the portfolio.

The patented dual stage elevator of the [MPE]2 allows easy automated loading of filter and collection plates. With that all necessary steps for all bind, wash elute assays including sample pretreatment can be done on the robotic platform.

The unit is available for 96, 48 and 24 well formats and comes along with a dual pressure control circuit which allows to use flow rates instead of pressure settings.

The restrictive flow principle eliminates the path of least resistance and with that any number of samples within the range can be operated in one batch.

Application Note - High-Throughput Filtration Using the [MPE]2 for Cannabinoid Analysis

In this study, two methods of sample filtration for cannabinoid analysis are compared.
Specifically, three sample types (flower, edible, and concentrate) are filtered through both a manual syringe filter and a 96-well filter plate
with an automated positive pressure extraction unit and then analyzed for cannabinoids.
It was demonstrated that filtration with the [MPE]2 .
